This years’ BU Classics Day took place on December 7th, 2007; this event is one
of the many opportunities afforded JCLers throughout Massachusetts, to mingle with other cool
people and learn about an aspect of ancient Greece or Rome. The day is essentially made up of
two workshops, one which is mandatory, and another which is of your own choice. These
seminars covered a wide expanse of classical knowledge, ranging from a construction of Roman
baths to divination (haruspices, and their use of animal livers), which left people with
something to chat about. Followed by a series of skits and lunch, it was a day well spent.
Here are some pictures of the event.
